Arc details the engineering behind predictable testnet finality

Arc’s reliability note describes chaos testing, workload generation, and a target cadence near 500 ms while stressing that the public testnet is still evolving.

Arc’s engineering team documented fault injection, workload saturation, and repeatable network tests used to study reliability. The stated ambition is predictable sub-second settlement and high availability, not a claim that every future upgrade will be interruption-free.

That distinction matters for ArcTrenches. Transaction UX must tolerate RPC failure, pending receipts, and network upgrades even when normal finality is fast. The product therefore keeps explicit pending and unavailable states rather than assuming success.
